Product:
The CS-2 Asher chrome-plated, cold-rolled steel slide bar will take your tone and control to the next level.
Drawing from decades of experience, customer preferences, and feedback and from great slide players such as Ben Harper, Robert Randolph, Cindy Cashdollar and Greg Leisz, Asher was able to create a superb slide bar that matches the play, feel and quality of his progressive instruments.
The Asher CS-2 tone bar is CNC milled with precision out of solid high grade cold-rolled steel alloy, then hard chrome plated for high wear resistance, increased sustain and smooth feel. It’s slick – it’s quiet - and is resistant to grooves or nicks.
Its dual nose design makes this bar stand out from the rest – one end has a 20 degree slant that allows crisp, sharp pull-offs and the other a mimicked bullet nose that allows for super fast string-to-string glides and bar slants.
“I wanted to offer a bar that felt good in your hand, and would offer a variety of uses,” says Bill Asher, founder and master craftsman of Asher Guitars & Lap Steels.
